Make Disciples (teach all nations) was the Commission that Jesus gave to his Disciples many years ago in Matthew 28:18.
That Commission is alive today and it is the same Commission that he expects his disciples to fulfill.
Our Father expects his sons and daughters to be trained in his ways and walk in maturity in his Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven and be built upon the Foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone, Matthew 6:10; Ephesians 2:20.
The Work of Making Disciples is not an easy task.
Being crafted and forged into a Disciple by the Blacksmith our Lord Jesus Christ requires a lot of Time, Heat and Pressure.
Why, because the enemy has sown so many corruptible seeds in the hearts of the believers that many cannot see that they are NOT walking in the Divine Favor of the Father and therefore they struggle and continue to fall and remain in condemnation which is exactly where Satan wants all believers to remain, condemned!
There was a day when the Philistines removed all the blacksmiths out of the land of Israel and so the Hebrews could not forge swords or spears for war.
I Samuel 13:19
Now there was no smith found throughout all the land of Israel: for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make them swords or spears:
If there were no weapons in the land of Israel, then the enemy could continue to put the people in bondage and slavery because they had no weapons to defend themselves and get delivered from the oppression of the enemy.
This is prophetic of our day in many of the believers in the church world today.
The Body of Christ does not realize that because they have not been forged into Disciples of Jesus Christ, the enemy satan has them in bondage and slavery to this world (kosmos).
They are powerless to get themselves and their loved ones delivered from the god of this world, because they don’t understand the Will, Word, Way, and Work of the Father.
We must become disciples after the Order of Jesus Christ and allow our hearts to be turned to the Wisdom of the Just and become a people prepared for the Lord.
(The Lord’s Will, The Lord’s Word, The Lord’s Way, The Lord’s Work)
Luke 1:16-17
And he will turn back and cause to return many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God,
And he will [himself] go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn back the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient and incredulous and unpersuadable to the wisdom of the upright [which is the knowledge and holy love of the will of God]—in order to make ready for the Lord a people [perfectly] prepared [in spirit, adjusted and disposed and placed in the right moral state].
Colossians 1:13
Who hath delivered us from the power (Exousia – Authority) of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
II Corinthians 4:4
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Luke 1:17
And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
Our enemy satan does not want any brothers or sisters to come into maturity and become weapons of choice for our Heavenly Father.
Hebrews 4:12 teaches us very clearly that the Word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of Soul and Spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart.
This place of wielding the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God found in Ephesians 6:17 is a place that we all must come to.
We as disciples should all be Masters of the Sword and be able to speak a Word in Season, rightly dividing the Word of Truth and be led of the Spirit.
As we see in the following verse, the purpose for discipleship and maturity is to destroy all the Works of the Devil!
I John 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Proverbs 15:23
A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth:
and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
II Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Jesus said the following:
John 5:37-39
And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
You have not his Word (logos) abiding in you he said, you have neither heard his voice he said, and you have not seen his shape, which is still the case of so many in the Body of Christ. We can’t recognize those whom the Father has Sent just like in Jesus’s day.
They could not receive the witness of Jesus Christ and even so today many cannot discern the Lord Jesus Christ and
the Father’s Will, Word, Way, and Work.
Jesus said that the very scriptures (Word) of God that you think you have eternal life (Zoe – God’s Life) in are the very Words that testify who Jesus is and who sent him.
We must allow the Word of God and those whom the Father has sent to us to reach our hearts and lives.
Our Father wants us to grow up and not just go up!
Isaiah 28:9-11
Whom shall he teach knowledge?
and whom shall he make to understand doctrine?
them that are weaned from the milk,
and drawn from the breasts.
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept;
line upon line, line upon line;
here a little, and there a little:
For with stammering lips and another tongue
will he speak to this people.
The Will of God is the Word of God.
The Word of God reveals the Way of God.
The Way of God will bring us into the Work of God.
John 14:2
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Our Heavenly Father has an Inheritance (work) for every one of His Sons and Daughters, but the Order of First Things is we must all be trained in Discipleship of Jesus Christ!
